Naarden Draft Town Text (dmb)

Naarden is the classic van Coehorn 17th century Dutch fortress town
. Royal Orange and military until the early 20th century, it has kept its stark silhouette focussed on the high medieval church. fully surronded by water - part salt part fresh, its star shaped ramparts and outworks enclose a quiet suburban community of 16,000 convenient for access to Amsterdam.
