Walled Town Short Descriptions

In September 2011,  I have completed draft  short walled town descriptions of 28 walled towns, all Member Towns of the Walled Towns Friendship Circle, where the final versions will be posted. In each case there is a link to a wikipedia article , with the proviso that some are 'stub entries' and some 'unauthenticated' . There is also in most cases a link to the town's official website. There are also references where appropriate to pre First World War Baedeker guidebooks and in some cases to modern guide books. Where possible I have included one or more photographs ( I have visited the towns in italics personally in last 20 years)
