Salvatierra-Agurain ARABARRI Draft Town Text (dmb)

Salvatierra-Agurain was a sizable medieval town in the Alava County
on the main road east-of Vitoria-Gasteiz towards Navarre or via the medieval tunnel of San Adrian through to the coast at San Sebastian. Chartered by King Alfonso X, it was home to a number of noble families who endowed its churches and mounted coats of arms on their facades in the main street.
